Current legislation
This website provides a comprehensive reference framework for the legislation governing the work of the Independent Election Commission, a constitutional institution that plays a pivotal role in managing the electoral process and promoting political participation in accordance with the provisions of the Jordanian Constitution and the legislation issued thereunder.
The website aims to provide access to the legislation governing the Commission's work (the Constitution, laws, regulations, and executive instructions), thereby reinforcing the principles upon which the Commission's work is based and supporting clarity and understanding of the legal frameworks that govern its duties and powers.
Through this website, the Commission aims to enable official bodies, civil society organizations, researchers, and those interested in electoral and party affairs to access the approved legal references, thereby contributing to supporting effective participation in political life and consolidating democratic practices, in line with the constitutional and legal role entrusted to the Independent Election Commission.
This website also serves as an interactive knowledge tool that contributes to raising legal awareness among various stakeholders and facilitates access to the legislative references that regulate the work of the commission, whether in managing the political parties file or managing the various stages of the electoral process, during election seasons (in accordance with the provisions of the constitution) or outside of them, in line with the legal role entrusted to the Independent Election Commission.
