The Independent Election Authority launches the electronic platform for political parties

The Independent Election Commission launched today the National Electronic Platform for Political Parties, in the presence of Eng. Musa Al-Maaytah, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and Norwegian Ambassador to Jordan, UNDP Resident Representative in Jordan Randa Abu Al-Hassan, members of the Board of Commissioners and the technical team of the Commission.
In his speech at the launch ceremony of the platform, Al-Maaytah said: We are honored to have you among us today as we launch the political parties platform, which comes within the framework of embodying the vision of the Jordanian state in political modernization, by making this platform a window available to everyone to consolidate the principle of transparency, which enables those wishing to view the data of parties, their leaders, statutes and budgets, and this platform also comesto facilitate political parties in communicating with the Commission and providing it with the required documents and the latest and best methods.
In turn, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Jordan praised the great technological development reached by the Independent Election Commission in its management of the electoral process and expressed his pride in participating in the launch of the national electronic platform for political parties, stressing the continuity of support and cooperation with the Commission to implement its plans and programs related to political modernization.
Aboulhasan also stressed that UNDP continues to support Jordan's efforts in political modernization through our close partnership with the Independent Election Commission, which dates back to the beginnings of the establishment of the Commission in 2012, especially with regard to enhancing the political participation of youth, women and politically marginalized groups and supporting digital, technical and technological transformation efforts, and the program will coordinate international support efforts in this field.
The attendees also watched a presentation of the most important materials contained in the platform, which included the party's vision, mission, programs and organizational structure, the relationship of parties with the Commission, parties with citizens and parties with each other, in addition to publishing the party's news and activities and its statistical data.
