Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Independent Election Authority and the American University

The Independent Election Commission (IEC) and the American University (AU) signed a joint memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing cooperation between the two parties in terms of awareness, electoral education, practical training, and enhancing youth participation in the political process in general and knowledge and academic exchange, in response to the visions and directives of His Majesty the King and his Crown Prince.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Commission by a member of the Board of Commissioners, Ammar Al-Husseini, and on behalf of the American University, Prof. Dr. Mamoun Akroush, where Al-Hassini reviewed during the signing of the agreement the most prominent developments on the law of parties and affiliation to them in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and the law.
Al-Husseini said that the law prevents exposure to any Jordanian, including prejudice to his constitutional or legal rights, or his accountability or accountability from any official or unofficial party because ofhis party affiliation, as Al-Husseini stressed, according to the law, that it prevents exposure to students of higher education institutions because of affiliation and partisan and political activity, and the right of those who signed it was exposed to resort to the competent court to raise the exposure and claim compensation for material and moral damage, as students of institutions of the Higher education Party members Practicing party activities within the campuses of these institutions without any restriction or prejudice to their rights, provided that a special regulation is issued regulating these activities. He also stressed that when establishing the party, the percentage of young people between the ages of 18 and 35 years must not be less than 20% of the number of founders.
